Looking for fun and free outdoor activities for your family? The nationwide program Every Kid Outdoors offers fourth graders and their families the chance to explore the country’s amazing wildlife, natural resources, and history for FREE.

Fourth-grade students can get a 4th Grade Pass from the Every Kid Outdoors website. This pass covers entrance and day-use fees at more than 2,000 federal lands. Families of current third graders can look forward to obtaining the pass next school year.

Every Kid Outdoors provides excellent educational opportunities. Families can see and learn about plants, animals, and ecosystems firsthand, gaining an understanding of biodiversity and the importance of protecting natural habitats. National parks feature fascinating geological formations, historical sites, and indigenous artifacts. Kids can also enjoy physical activities such as hiking while practicing map-reading and compass skills.

Passes for current fourth-graders expire on August 31, 2024. Learn more on the Every Kid Outdoors website.

Happy exploring!
